World Book Day 2023 was a spectacular event at Al-Zahra School! With a jam-packed itinerary to fill the day, teachers and students alike got in the spirit of events and really transformed themselves for the afternoon.
Costumes ranged from Holes to Bananas in Pyjamas. Congratulations to the following students for winning a prize for Best Dressed for their year group:
Zainab Al- Moussawi (year 7) as The Madhatter
Hawra Al-Ugaili & Huda Al-Katib (year 8) as The Twits
Dania Fadhel (year 9) as Maleficent
Aya Al-Katib (year 10) as Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde
Sukainah Dayekh (year 11) as Batman
Also, a massive Congratulations to Mrs Al-Safi for winning Best Dressed female staff member and to Mrs Azam for winning the runner up prize!
Al-Zahra School also had the privilege of hosting the talented Bahraini- British poet, Taher Adel, for an inspiring and engaging workshop!
