Al-Zahra girls have proven their determination as is evident in the GCSE results this year. We are delighted with our pupils’ performance, with 15% of all grades awarded achieving a grade 9. Many congratulations to everyone who had navigated through the disruption caused by the pandemic over the past two years. These results are testament to the resilience and hard work of all our students.
At Al-Zahra we believe that great exam results are just the very beginning; our education prepares young people for fulfilment in a world that demands immense flexibility, creativity, resilience and critical thought and we wish our 2022 cohort the very best in their future endeavours.
Below are a few of our outstanding results from 2022:
Zaynab Fatima Rizvi: Eight 9s, One 8, One 7
Al-Zahra school was a second home to me having been there since Year 1. There are multiple reasons as to why I loved my time there but what stands out the most has to be the people. I made life long friends and had the most wonderful teachers who allowed me to excel academically and spiritually.
Deena Shirvani: Five 9s, Two 8s, Three 7s
I joined Al-zahra in Year 5 and was warmly welcomed by both my classmates and teachers. In addition to making life long friends in this school, the teachers were always there to support me on both an academic and personal level. I believe it is due to this that I was able to do well in my GCSEs and study my desired A-level subjects.
Zahraa Sarah Dhahad: Four 9s, Five 8s, Two 7s
My time at Al Zahra, was a time I will never regret, and will forever miss. From the teachers who felt like my own family, to the students who I cherished like sisters. I was given an environment to practice my faith collectively and thrive academically. I came out with friends and mentors for life. I was given a platform to express my thoughts and opinions. And in the end, it all culminated in my academic results. I will forever be grateful for the teachers that supported me the entire way.
Syeda Ridaa Faatemah Rizvi: Three 9s, Seven 8s
Al Zahra School was a place of opportunity and growth for me, granting me the tools to refine and harness my abilities as a student and allowing me to achieve 7 8’s and 3 9’s in my GCSE exams. One of my greatest achievements are the life long friends I’ve gained at this institution , due to the chance it gave me to flourish in a comfortable and supportive environment, a privilege I will forever accredit to my experience studying at Al Zahra School.
The pupils at Al-Zahra have a long track record of securing good GCSE results, enabling them to leave school knowing they are well prepared for the next phase in their lives.
More than half our pupils go on to study at Russel Group universities including Oxford and Cambridge. In addition to this many of our pupils secure places at the prestigious universities in London with the likes of Kings College, UCL, Queen Mary, City and SOAS.
Graduates form Al-Zahra are successful in all walks of life including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, law, media and journalism to name a few.
We believe that providing our pupils with a caring and motivating environment is paramount in allowing them to grow as independent thinkers who contribute positively to the demands of a challenging society.
